Frequently Asked Questions

There is no normal life that is free of pain. It’s the very wrestling with our problems that can be the impetus for our growth.

  • Counseling can be a helpful step for anyone looking for support, clarity, or a space to feel understood. At our practice, we meet you exactly where you are. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, navigating a life transition, struggling with relationships, or simply wanting to better understand yourself, therapy offers a calm, nonjudgmental place to explore what you’re experiencing.

You don’t have to wait for things to feel “bad enough” to reach out. Many people come to counseling for personal growth, to build healthier coping skills, or to strengthen emotional well-being. If you’re wondering whether talking with someone could help, it may be a sign that you’re ready to take that next step — and we’re here to walk alongside you.

At this time, we are not in-network with insurance providers. We’ve made this choice so that you and your therapist can decide together what to focus on in your work, without limitations from an outside provider. This also means that your health information stays private between you and your therapist. Many insurance plans offer out-of-network benefits, which may reimburse you for part or all of your session cost. Before scheduling, it can be helpful to check with your insurance company about your out-of-network coverage and their reimbursement process. While we don’t submit claims directly, we are happy to provide you with a monthly statement (often called a “superbill”) that you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement.

  • Yes, we do offer virtual services. We utilize a HIPPA compliant platform (Simple Practice) for our telehealth sessions.

  • We require at least 24 hours notice to cancel appointments. Late cancellations or no shows (<24 hrs notice) will be charged the full session fee.

One (1) late cancellation will be waived per client.

If the therapist must cancel late, the client will bank a free late cancellation in return.
